Scott-ville, Jacqueline!

Great question!!!

I spend a good couple weeks (a month at the most) what I call "fleshing-out" my story...and that means doing all the initial research to get me to the point where I can crank-out the first three chapters.

Now, during that time, I'll often print and/or tear-out magazine pages and articles that for whatever reason - usually not known to me at the time - make my muses dance.

I then put all those clippings into notebooks, organized by topics, and begin writing...using those notebooks to stimulate my muses as I go along.

For example, me and my muses The Carrie Squad might take a look at some article about some superfab and chic vintage clothing store and say "yeah...today, we're doing a scene in a store just like that one"! (Note: Me and The Carrie Squad did that very thing regarding the Vienna Vintage Boutique in THUG GUARD - based on an article I found about a terrific boutique called New York Vintage!)

Thanks bunches for the fantabulous question!!!

And Welcome to my Bootscootin' and Cozy Cash Mystery Worlds!

Happy Reading!!! And Writing too!!!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12174865205033095825noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7796289705713697444.post-25039700272688694672011-06-09T10:28:57.729-07:002011-06-09T10:28:57.729-07:00I'd say you're pretty speedy too, Tonya!

For instance, on castles, settings, to find out about stuff you know you don't know but will need for the book, etc.?Jacquelinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06037261003957874781noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7796289705713697444.post-22566704386101656012011-06-09T04:15:32.032-07:002011-06-09T04:15:32.032-07:00You write fast!!
