    Finding Fabulous Readers

    Happy Thursday, D. D. Scott-ville!

Over on my fabulous grog The WG2E, we’ve been talking a ton about readers being the key to an author’s success.

Keeping readers happy with great books at great prices is my primary goal!

And nothin' beats finding and getting to know my readers and fans.

Y'All are a hoot and then some!

So “How Do You Find Readers”?

Where are all you fabulous readers and fans hangin’-out?

Well...I've discovered a ton of you on all the super terrific Kindle Boards...waving to all my fellow Kindle Board-ers!!!

But where else am I finding wonderful readers and having a heckuva fantabulous time getting to know them?

    On Facebook!!!

Here are a few of my very fave Facebook Pages and Groups...a few you have to be invited to join, so just email ‘em a request...the rest, just “like” ‘em, then start participating by posting on their walls:

    Amazon Kindle

    The Crime Scene

    Four Stars and Up

    Book Junkies

    Pixel of Ink

Okay...there's a list of current, find-fabulous-readers spots...so what about you?

Where are all you funtabulous readers hangin'?!

Very cool! I do believe that authors do have it wrong when it comes to loops, facebook, and Kindle boards~if they want to reach readers, they are going to have to go to where the readers hang out and mingle. Jane Porter goes a step beyond that and plans reader dinners that are invite only for all the readers who support her. It's all out of her pocket. Most of them are her facebook friends! When we were waiting for a couple of them to come to dinner, she checked her facebook to see if they had messaged her. See~so cool!!

    Tonya,
How clever of Jane Porter. Great idea.

DeeDee... I love your blogspot. It's so pink and very informative. I've found tons of great advice on all your sites. One question...
Do you ever sleep? You are the busiest author. Very impressed. Is it Red Bull? Is that your secret?

I hear ya, Tonya...and yes, I too feel it's all about the readers, finding 'em and getting to know them.

The fabulous Shirley Jump does the dinner idea too! In fact, she took a bunch of us to breakfast, via invitation, at RWA10 at Disney. She even gave us gifts. It was terrific!

I'll be hosting meet-and-greet events in 2012! I've already started planning them and can't wait to announce the details! They're going to be based on the whole Tweet-Up and FB Meet-Up concepts but with quite the unique D. D. Scott-ville/Bootscootin-MUSE THERAPY twists!

LOL...I really don't sleep much, Barbara!!!

I'm one of those...who can get buy on ohhhh, six hours or so per night.

I'm always flyin' high (and yes, into walls too). Primarily because of all these damn K-Cups. Keurig is gonna be the undoing of all my circuitry. LOL!

Anyhoo...I'm thrilled beyond thrilled you're luuuvvvin' my sites. And I sure enjoy spending time with you on all of 'em!!!
