More Bitchy Signs, Quotes & Anecdotes Are Here!!!

    TGIF, D. D. Scott-ville!

How's this for a fabulous Bitchy Sign, Quotes & Anecdotes Weekend Kick-Off?!

For me, nobody got it right like Audrey Hepburn.

She didn’t pave her way to Hollywood by kicking and screaming after every wrong turn. She did it by adapting well and being Holly Golightly ‘lovely’ despite the tough-to-swallow moments. In other words, by being as strong as a horse.

“I did War and Peace in velvets and furs in August...In the hunting scene where I’m in velvet and a high hat, the family was plodding across a big field in the blazing Roman sunshine and, all of a sudden, my horse fainted out from under me. They quickly got me out of the saddle...So when they say I’m strong as a horse, I am. I’m stronger! I didn’t faint. The horse did."

So for this MUSE THERAPY Bitchy Signs, Quotes & Anecdotes Exercise, “Go Audrey”!

Get back on the green horses in your Emerald City’s Publishing Oz.

And here’s one last Hepburn Rumination to keep you on your Audrey track.

To do your thing, you must have faith in yourself like one of Audrey’s favorite quotes inspired her to do:

“Faith is the bird that feels the light and sings when the dawn is still dark.” --- Rabindranath Tagore

    So let your birds sing.

Don’t shoot ‘em...because you’re mad at your dog since he won’t do number two because he’s too damn interested in the birds singing at three-thirty in the morning, in the midst of the still beyond black dark winter night.

Instead, kick your own ass for missing the way the birds’ sweet songs sing to your muses, beckoning them to enjoy the journey through the dark to the light of your publishing daybreak.

I loved Audrey Hepburn, too. She never gave up either, so just follow your dreams, & stay on that yellow brick road, & you'll find yourself just exactly where you want to be!
