Reader Poll Results: Where Do You Buy Your Books and Ebooks?
Happy Thursday, D. D. Scott-ville!
Yesterday, on my grog – The WG2E – I shared an interesting observation I made Tuesday, while shopping at one of our local Target stores…
The scoop, in a nutshell...our Target store moved the print books section to the back of the store. And I mean in the boonies back of the store...behind the toys!!! I couldn’t even find it until after I’d asked if they still had it!!!
For the full scoop on this, visit The WG2E
Interesting Observation: Target Moves Print Books To Back of Store
But...that got me to thinking...
Where Do You Buy Your Books and Ebooks?
So...I created a poll...on my other grog - The Naked Hero - and promised I'd let y'all know the results...and here they are...
Here's the scoop on where y'all are buyin' your books and ebooks (from most popular to least):
1. Amazon - 7 votes
2. Amazon Kindle - 7 votes
3. Barnes & Noble (online store) - 5 votes
4. Barnes & Noble nook - 5 votes
5. Other (incl. Audio, Book Clubs, Libraries, Garage Sales, Used Book Stores) - 5 votes
6. Etailers/Digital Publishers (incl. Smashwords, Samhain, Carina Press) - 4 votes
7. Barnes & Noble (brick and mortar stores) - 3 votes
8. Costco - 2 votes
9. Target/Wal-mart - 1 vote
10. Grocery Stores - 1 votes
11. Sony, Kobo, iPad, Sam's Club, Drugstores - 0 votes
***40 votes total either on poll itself or emailed, Facebooked, and/or tweeted to me
Conclusions:
Online purchases beat brick-and-mortar 28 votes to 12 votes.
Amazon was the clear winner of all shopping destinations.
Barnes & Noble customers bought from B & N Online and/or nook versus in their brick-and-mortar stores 10 votes to 3 votes.
It's Your Turn, D. D. Scott-ville: Do the results of this poll mirror where you buy your books and ebooks?

I buy my books and ebooks from amazon.com. When I know I'm not buying ebooks and I don't want to wait for shipping, I will buy books from Borders, Mejier, Target and Walmart.
I have been buying E-books from Amazon Kindle, as I haven't purchased a hardcover or a paperback book in a LONG time. My idea is saving "cents" makes "sense!" I love my Kindle!!!
