Y'all know how very very much I believe in Paying It Forward. And one way I do that is by making my grogs must-stop-&-chat destinations for all kinds of quirky fun and big-time scoop for both my superfab readers and fellow writers too.

My Inaugural WG2E Real Numbers Post Is Up!!!
Happy Monday, D. D. Scott-ville!
And what a fabulous kick-off to the new week it is!!!
My inaugural WG2E Real Numbers Post Is Up!!!
Check it out at The WG2E !!!

I'm ecstatic with my sales numbers, and I'm thrilled to share 'em with you at The WG2E.
Keep in mind when you're reviewing my numbers that unlike the traditional publishing world of old where you had to have a huge push by a major publisher to sell well, I didn't have that.
I'm totally self-made via Indie Epublishing.
And I'm here to tell you - then show you how - it can be done.
I'm right on track - as you'll see comparing my numbers to other Bestselling Indie Authors - to selling my own multiple thousands of Ebooks by the end of 2011.
How?
By making some of the same tough but great decisions that they did too! (More on that in future posts both here and at The WG2E.)
So check this out...here's a teaser at the numbers you'll find today at The WG2E:
*** Super cool stat here...I've sold 47 BOOTSCOOTIN' BLAHNIKS books in 4 months - 35 MUSE THERAPY books in just 2 months - and 18 STOMPIN' ON STETSONS books in 1 month!

See what's happening with each book I add to my backlist?!
*** My first royalty check was $32.66 (for August 2010 sales). The second check was $53.65 (for Sept/Oct sales). A 62% increase!!! Yesss!!! - I went from selling 17 books in the first check to 31 books in the second check!
*** Two of my books - MUSE THERAPY and STOMPIN' ON STETSONS - have made several of Amazon's bestseller lists (again...more on that in another post)
Not bad for a writer who's made absolutely nothing for the last ten years!!!
That's right...as I've mentioned several times and will continue to slide in here whenever I can - LOL!...it took me ten years of struggling thru the traditional publishing world to get here, the last two of those years having been lead by a fabulous agent who is now right there with me on my Epublishing journey (more from her later too)!
For the complete analysis of my first set of Real Numbers, go to my post today at The WG2E .
I'm looking forward to your comments and questions, and I'm looking forward to sharing all my future sales numbers.
Only by sharing today's Epublishing Real Numbers can writers Pay It Forward and help those that are considering the Epublishing route but have yet to take that leap.

The WG2E's Real Numbers Series: Putting Epublishing Numbers Into Perspective
Mornin', D. D. Scott-ville!
This coming Monday - January 10, 2011 - is the Launch of The WG2E's Real Numbers Series!
And every Monday thereafter at The WG2E, we're gonna share our Epublishing Real Numbers then analyze the heck out of 'em too.
But before we do that, I wanted to give our numbers the proper perspective.
No, I'm no J. A. Konrath yet, but I happen to find a fabulous example of exactly where I'll be coming from with my Real Numbers on his blog.
The example can be found on J. A.'s blog A Newbie's Guide to Publishing with his Guest Post by L. J. Sellers.
L. J. is the author of the Detective Jackson mysteries, the first of which I just downloaded to my Kindle - for 99 cents, btw - after reading her terrific interview. Here's the cover and Kindle link:

THE SEX CLUB
And here's what got my attention right away...the very first paragraph of her interview:
In January of 2010, I had one book on Kindle and sold 31 copies. I had two print books on the market with a small publisher, and they weren’t selling much better. In December, I had six books on Kindle and sold over 10,000 copies. To get from point A to point B, I had to make some radical decisions.
Now that is exactly the kind of story I'm about to tell you on The WG2E.
So mark your calendar for this coming Monday, January 11th, and begin the Real Numbers Journey with me at The WG2E.

Suzy Toronto's Plan B Is The Place To Be!
Happy Monday, D. D. Scott-ville!
Each January 1st, to turn over the guard to the next 365 days of my life, I put up all my new calendars. And those calendars, which I've taken great care to pick out, become my new mantras for the new year.
So without further adieu...2011 in D. D. Scott-Calendar-Ville...is all about...
Plan B
Plan B - as in fabulous artist Suzy Toronto 's Plan B:

What is Suzy's Plan B?
Here's the scoop straight from her January print:
Life Is All About How You Handle Plan B
Plan A is always my first choice. You know, the one where everything works out to be "happily ever after." But more often than not, I find myself dealing with the upside-down, inside-out version where nothing goes as it should. It's at this point the real test comes in...Do I sink or do I swim? Do I wallow in self-pity and play the victim or simply shift gears and make the best of the situation? The choice is mine. After all...life is all about how you handle Plan B.
Plan B...it's the true test of character.

How fabulous is this mantra?!
When I stumbled upon Suzy's Calendar in a Cracker Barrel, I knew I'd found my secret to living life in 2011!!!
Plan B is exactly what my cofounding of The WG2E was all about!
Writers now "get" - after continuing to watch and live the fall-out of the traditional publishing business model - that Traditional Plan A ain't workin'. The Happily Ever Afters we write about aren't showing up on our royalty statements. Are we going to sink with the traditional publishing world or swim into a new and very exciting sea of opportunity? And if we're going to shift gears in order to swim into the Epublishing Sea, and make the best of the situation, won't that be a beyond fabulous test of our character?
Very "Plan B"...don't ya think?!
So come along with us as we swim at The WG2E!

Oh...and check out Suzy's fabulous site too...she's my kinda gal!!!

The WG2E: A Fabulous Mix of Writing Journeys
Mornin', D. D. Scott-ville!
Three short days from now, you'll witness the launch of my newest labor of Pay It Forward Love The WG2E - The Writer's Guide to Epublishing!

We're set to kick-off with gusto on Saturday, January 1st at http://thewritersguidetoepublishing.com !!!
As I've been teasing you with for the last couple weeks, I've partnered with ever-fabulous authors Tonya Kappes http://tonyakappes.com/, Misa Ramirez http://misaramirez.com/ and L. A. Lopez http://irishsistersknits.com/ to give writers of all genres a destination site for Everything Epublishing.
Our Mission is simple:
To be every writer’s destination – regardless of genre – for everything E-publishing and to help writers reign over the ever-changing E-business-end of their creative empires.
The Writer’s Guide to E-Publishing is your destination website for practical and real information about E-Publishing romance, mystery, and everything else. We share what we’ve learned - the good, the bad, and the ugly - including stats and real numbers. Our goal is to do a lot of the legwork for you, to keep you informed, and empower you as you embark or continue on your own publishing journey.
We keep it positive and we keep it real. We are writers, navigating our way through the rapidly evolving world of e-publishing.
And here's one of the really cool parts...we're not just writers navigating our way through the rapidly evolving world of E-publishing, we're writers navigating our way from completely different stages and paths along all the writing-for-publication roads.
Here's the scoop:
The WG2E (The Writer’s Guide to/2 E-Publishing) is a work of love. We are each at different stages of our writing careers. D.D. Scott is published exclusively in E-Books using Amazon's DTP Program and Smashwords too. Misa Ramirez / Melissa Bourbon is published in print by huge, traditional publishing houses St. Martin’s Minotaur/Thomas Dunne Books, as well as digitally by Diversion Books. She is also just venturing into the Indie Publishing route. Tonya Kappes is published in print and e-books by a small press, and Lee Lopez is currently un-pubbed but now preparing to go the Indie Pub/E-Pub route.
What a fabulous mix, right?! What fabulous opportunities to compare numbers - real numbers - and the experiences that go along with making those numbers from different road-to-publication paths!
We’ve learned tons through our adventures. Sharing our trials and errors, as well as living out loud on this site, is our way of paying it forward as writers.
We've got a ton of must-know information on Everything Epublishing to share with y'all and can't wait to get started at The WG2E this Saturday, January 1st!
